Why join in the magic ?

S.T.E.P.P.S. is an inclusive and welcoming amateur theatre company. Angela and Helen STEPPS producers and directors, encourage everyone to get involved, no matter your experience in theatre. We have a lot of talented people within the group but don’t worry; if you struggle to hold a tune; or if you have two left feet, these skills can be developed, just try your very best! We do ask that you are dedicated to rehearsals and support the ethos of our friendly, supportive team!

In STEPPS there is no such thing as just being ensemble! Every single person is equally important, from the smallest child in the chorus to the leading roles! And let us not forget our talented backstage, technical crew and our brilliant front of house team!

I looked for a theatre group in Darlington because a friend from college wanted to join one and I agreed to come along with her. The friend went missing without a trace but I still joined and so glad that I did... actually to be honest, I think STEPPS found me!
